Making your own furniture using our Iconic Joinery can be accomplished with two somewhat primitive yet precise hand tools; the handsaw and hand drill (aka wood brace) pictured below. You can of course use whatever tools you have. If you do not have certain tools, ask friends or relatives who may have the tools you need. Perhaps even ask them for help if you feel you lack some skill. The illustration below reflects the low end costs for hand tools and some materials today.
